Non smoky Ledaig whiskies are a rarity, but this single cask, single malt from the wonderful Isle of Mull became even more distinctive after time in Iberian wood.
Nose: Aromas akin to a basket of fruits – white grape, red apple and lime, plus honey.
Palate: Vanilla, spicy undertones. Rhubarb and custard sweets, charred oak.
Finish: A fascinating, complex finale that takes in peppery notes, orange peel and cinder toffee.
