Visiting the Allan and the Whisky Room always a pleasure!!!

Wonderful cigar to celebrate with and fantastic to find it in Gourock.

I don't know how to feel about that news. I've not yet opened this bottle, but I had definitely finished the last bottle. Do I keep this pristine bottle for the future? For a calamity (no) or for a celebration (maybe!). Since I got into drinking limited runs of very nice whiskies only a few have stood out as exceptional; this is (or was) one of the best. I think I'll need to see what subsequent batches of Lochlea are like. And then, if the company is worthy, we can open up the Batch 2 and do a comparison.

Beautiful whisky, very peaty. Almost like Smokehead Malt whisky. Very enjoyable.

Lovely sherry bomb with fruit cake base and the sweetness of PX but with a nice cask strength kick to finish🥃 A drammers dram 🥃

Kilkerran, Heavily Peated, Batch 11 - 2024 release Whisky

The evening was well structured with a flight of 6 drams selected,with a tasting mat, chocolate, macaroon, and shortbread supplied to each attendee. The host from glenallachie surprised me by stating he hadn’t tried the drams supplied, he did say he was only with them for 2 weeks, however i would have ensured I had tried the drams that he was promoting in advance. Glenallachie never disappoints with the 15year old the clear winner on the night. The venue at the bowling club held the event it was ok, however i would have preferred the event held at Greenock Wanderers RFC, that’s just a personal opinion, the bowling club done what it needed to do, Alan and his wife were very approachable and thanked my party for attending as we had travelled from Lanarkshire, Dumfriesshire, Ayrshire and Lothians, so it was a overnight stay in inverclyde to attend, they had a good supply of the drams tasted available for purchase at the end. So in summing up, a well structured evening with lovely drams in the company of good hosts . Well

This is my 3rd bottle of this lovely dram. First didn’t last long and the second was given as a well received gift. I wonder how long the 3rd will last...

An anticipated release from Lagg distillery.

First impressions didn't disappoint. Savoury smoke to open, followed through with sweet vanilla notes. The smoke remains throughout a medium length finish. Draws you back for more.

Light grassy nose on this one. A young spirit offering but good value for money nonetheless.

Finding a good whisky can be fraught with problems, do you by the expensive one or the cheap one with good reviews? Having the shop owner/manager with a real passion for whisky guiding you is so much easier! Here is a whisky person that will ensure you buy an exceptional experience and who will explain why it will be an such an experience. Loved his recent choice of whisky and cigar combination he made for me. My new default supplier!

Fantastic and very informative evening with great company and shortbread 😂🤣😂

The pa and the sound was very poor. To the point of painfulness.
The Italian girl spoke too fast with the poor sound , distracted from the whisky.

Two of the drams were best for me the others seemed a bit young.

The previous event at the RGYC was better all round .

Hasn’t put us off though
