Marrying together whiskies wholly matured in bouron and sherry casks in perfect balance creates a fascinationg interplay between the resinous, sweetly dark orchard fruit notes imparted by sherry maturation and the brighter vanilla flavours of bourbon wood.
The result is an interiguing and complex dram that's recognisably Glengoyne, but looked at from a different perspective.
