Jackton Distillery, a young, female-led family distillery, is the home of Raer Spirits. The distillery was founded by the Kean family on their farm in South Lanarkshire, near Glasgow in February 2020 when they filled their very first whisky cask. While initially creating blended whiskies, gin and vodka, their inaugural single malt launched in 2026. Jackton distillery is in the process of becoming a grain to glass distillery and is building its own on-site maltings facility. Their new make spirit is currently produced using locally malted Scottish grown barley, while they await the barley which is growing in their own fields.
RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Inaugural Release, marks Jackton Distillery’s first Single Malt. Bottled at 48.7% ABV, it is distilled, matured and bottled in the Scottish Lowlands, with Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado and Oloroso casks creating rich notes of dark fruit, treacle and roasted nuts, followed by a long, mellow finish.
