Festive Cocktail with Murray McDavid single malt whisky
If you visited our stand at the Ardgowan House Christmas Fayre and enjoyed a taster of our Clementine Old Fashioned, here is the recipe as promised!
Per glass
• 1.5 tablespoons sugar syrup
• 1-2 splashes of Angostura Bitters
• juice of 1/2 clementine (or 1/4 orange)
• ice
• 30-50ml whisky (to taste)*
• soda water
Garnish
• 1 or 2 cherries
• 2 slices of clementine (or orange)
Mix the sugar syrup, bitters and juice in a glass. Add ice, whisky (to taste) and top up with soda water. Garnish with cherries and clementine slices. Stir well and relax…
* we recommend Murray McDavid’s Auchroisk Bourbon finish Single Malt or if you like a bit of peat, try their Croftengea Double Cask - click the link below to see them!
Sugar Syrup - buy or make it. Add 150g caster sugar and 75ml boiling water to a pan and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool before using.
