Established in 2014, the Ardnamurchan Distillery is set on the beautiful, rugged west Highland Ardnamurchan Peninsula. The Ardnamurchan dram, made and matured on-site, reflects the distillery’s location, renowned for its wild landscapes and untamed character. Ardnamurchan embrace heritage, innovation and sustainable practices, from traditional double distillation to blockchain technology. All the power and heat requirements for the distillery come from local renewables and the by-products are recycled on the peninsula. Ardnamurchan's bottle is one of the lightest in the industry; it is produced using over 50% recycled clear glass.

This dram is Ardnamurchan's most pure, distillate-led whisky - fully stripped back and focussed on 100% unpeated, 6+ year old Golden Promise distillate which is matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at a cask strength of 59.2%. This is full on, unrestrained Ardnamurchan - sumptuously fatty, bright, coastal, grassy, full of vibrancy and Western Highland DNA.

This release uses 100% unpeated Golden Promise malted barley, matured exclusively in ex-American bourbon barrels from 2018.

Nose: Milk chocolate digestive biscuits, glacé cherries, lime cordial, icing sugar, marzipan, and apricot jam. Melted butter with acacia honey on sourdough toast. Salted preserved lemons. A whiff of long grass.

Palate: Creamy sweet and nutty - sugared almonds, salted cashews and pistachios. Orange polenta cake, baked cooking apples, fizzy lemonade and peshwari naan.

Finish: Oily and luscious with hints of orchard fruits, sweet nuttiness and espresso.
