Lochlea ha lanzado el Lote 2 de su expresión de fortaleza de barrica luego del excelente Lote 1. Este último lote es una especie de bomba de jerez y se presenta con total integridad natural, tal como cabría esperar de John Campbell y el equipo de Lochlea. 12.000 botellas en todo el mundo.

Nariz: manzanas, jarabe de melocotón, mermelada.
Paladar: lavanda silvestre, pétalos de rosa.
Final: pimienta negra, fruta característica de Lochlea.

A friend told me I bought the last bottle of Lochlea Batch 2

I don't know how to feel about that news. I've not yet opened this bottle, but I had definitely finished the last bottle. Do I keep this pristine bottle for the future? For a calamity (no) or for a celebration (maybe!). Since I got into drinking limited runs of very nice whiskies only a few have stood out as exceptional; this is (or was) one of the best. I think I'll need to see what subsequent batches of Lochlea are like. And then, if the company is worthy, we can open up the Batch 2 and do a comparison.
