Established early in 1994, Murray McDavid quickly became a leading whisky bottler.
Over the last three decades, the Murray McDavid Team have questioned the normal cask conventions of whisky maturation. Around 75% of a whisky’s flavour will develop from the cask so the team source exceptional casks from the very best vineyards, bodegas and whiskey-makers across Europe and America. Using the very best wood balances the natural character and slowly develops into extraordinary spirit.
This is the Art of Maturation. This is inspired Scotch whisky.
Linkwood has long been one of Speyside’s quiet stars, producing an elegant and fruit-forward spirit that is highly regarded by independent bottlers but rarely seen as an official single malt. This creative combination of Port, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finishes results in a rich and fruity dram, with sweet fruit and spice balanced by Linkwood’s lighter malt character.
Nose: Red currants, fruit cake, cocoa.
Palate: Light malt, sweet fruit, oak spice.
Finish: Fresh apple, vanilla, chai latte.
