Marking the first in a series of annual releases that celebrates Lindores' centuries-old ties to Thiron Abbey in the French village Thiron-Gardais where the monks who founded Lindores hailed from.
Each sip of Thiron is a journey through time, nurtured in virgin oak casks hewn from the same lands that connect Thiron Abbey and Lindores across centuries. The Thiron oak is carefully harvested from the forests nearby to Thiron Abbey and for the trees
felled for cask production, new oak trees have been replanted.
The use of bourbon casks and red wine barriques, combined with French virgin oak has yielded a whisky of unparalleled character, a true embodiment of the dedication that bridges Lindores' past with its present.
This 2025 release has a stronger influence from the virgin oak casks than the 2024 release.
Nose: Succulent dates and rich berry jam intertwined with toasted hazelnuts
and a delicate dusting of sweet cinnamon.
Palate: Silky and indulgent with mellow vanilla ice cream drizzled with golden syrup, fresh raspberries, flaky pastry, vibrant spices, roasted hazelnuts and subtle woody notes.
Finish: Long and elegant with sweet spice and nutty warmth.
