Discovery 4

Based on Allan's recommendation picked a bottle of this uo to drink. Little apprehensive of the 60%abv.

But this drinks remarkably well neat. No dilution required. The sweet sherry really pronounced and masks the spirit. Very moreish.

Good to see this week that it picked up a gold medal at the Scottish whisky awards. As did another couple of ardgowan products. If the wallet can stretch to it treat yourself. Piques the interest for future discovery bottlings by ardgowan.

Fantastic buy

Prompt delivery and well packaged bottle. Waited more than a week to try until I made sure I had another bottle coming. New bottle on the way as I write this. This whiskey is a 60 plus percent ABV and is not to be taken lightly. Pleasant nose and strong flavour when taken straight, which may not suit all people. The addition of a small amount of water however made this a beauty to drink with a great flavour and a lasting aftertaste.
Not an expert by any means but I really like this whisky. Warmed me up lovely after being out in the cold.
Would recommend highly.
