This incredible bottler, Glaschu Spirits Co. is owned by Paul Jamieson and Julian Mithoff and based in Glasgow, Scotland (Glaschu is Gaelic for Glasgow). The Glaschu guys have backgrounds in aircraft engineering so decided to use that theme for the Glaschu labels - the subject and colour changes with each release but is always in the same art deco style design. 

Built in 1817, Teaninich is a Diageo powerhouse and is used in blends such as Johnny Walker Red Label. Instead of a mash tun, Teaninich uses a hammer mill and mash filter - the sole one in operation in a Scottish malt distillery - which results in an incredibly clear wort, creating the Teaninich character: a fragrant exotic grassiness.

This 13 year old example has been finishing since July 2022 in a first fill red wine barrique, fresh from the St. Emilion wine region of Bordeaux, France.

This dram's label features the iconic Hillman Imp - a rally car built in Scotland in the 1960s. The imp is depicted sliding on a dirt track next to the river Alness, at Teaninich Distillery.

Nose: Mulled wine, harvest hay and a light hint of liquorice.

Palate: Raspberry jam on toast, dried red fruits, tarragon and toffee

Finish: Sweet and spicy with malty cereal.
