The Whisky Room is a hidden gem in Gourock! Picked up the Glenallachie 10 PX Hogshead from Glaschu Spirits Co. At the recent tasting - absolutely stunning dram with rich dark fruits, chocolate, and the classic Glenallachie honeyed sweetness. Beautifully balanced.
Alan and Giulia are exceptional - their passion, knowledge, and warm hospitality make every visit special. They’ve created something truly special with an outstanding selection. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ll definitely be back!
A wee dram of GlenAllachie 12 tonight — rich, warm, and full of character. A proper winter warmer.
AT 50 percent felt the addition of a little more water than usual helped to bring out the dried fruit and honey taste.
Long and warming finish.
No taste of Iodine which you get with some Islay malts.
Pale colour belies the peat flavour.
All in all a very enjoyable dram

It's a perfect all-round whiskey. It's the first Infrequent Flyer bottle we've purchased but won't be the last. It was great to try several whiskeys including this one before we bought it. The worst part was having to choose only one. We'll be back.

A great and very varied flight of six drama with some real crackers in there. Alistair was a great host with lots of industry anecdotes, stories and background on the drams. Allan & Guilia were legends making sure everyone was catered for.

Great dram at a very reasonable price. A floral malt with nose of oat biscuits, apple, nuts & honey.
Quite a sweet taste, same notes as the nose, but deeper with more intense spice from the Madeira cask finish.
Great night with top drams ,patter and stories from a man steeped in the history of whisky.🥃
