Great dram at a very reasonable price. A floral malt with nose of oat biscuits, apple, nuts & honey.
Quite a sweet taste, same notes as the nose, but deeper with more intense spice from the Madeira cask finish.
Great night with top drams ,patter and stories from a man steeped in the history of whisky.🥃
It was a gift to my husband and let's just say that I earned major points!!! he absolutely cannot stop talking about it and he does not want to share it with anyone! lol (he is not even a heavy drinker..)
A most enjoyable dram, no doubt shocking some on second taste I added a small drop of water which, to me, seemed to open the flavour rather nicely. Although by no means an expert I enjoyed a vaguely toffee, light cinnamon tone linked to a very pleasant spicey finish which lingered on, making this one to take your time with. It also helped greatly attending the excellent (Whisky Room) tasting evening with Alistair Walker himself, so understanding the finishing process deepened the taste sensation.
A great way to get a top nightcap
Really quick delivery I ordered late Tuesday night and my delivery had arrived first thing Thursday morning. My delivery had a cute wee handwritten message thanking me for my order which was a lovely touch.
Another great recommendation by Allan and I was not disappointed. Dark colour, strong flavour but sweet, spicy notes. What I call a 'chewy whisky' due to it's mouthfeel and I loved it!
As a non drinker but a collector of scotch whisky I am pleased to add this blended whisky to my collection.
Have tried this before and loved it. This bottle will be heading to Australia as a gift and I am sure will be well received.
Long lasting .smooth the only thing you need is a good whisky to enjoy with it

I bought the Clydebuild Gin as a present and my friend took it to his Friday night gin club, they ranked it the best from 6 gins and finished the bottle ! So I think that’s the proof enough for me it’s top quality !
Great drama across the full range of expressions of Clydebuilt! The involvement of Max McFarlane in blending these malts has given some really top quality but very different whisky’s. All of which are excellent! Also great to shop locally for a local product and as ever the service and prompt delivery from The Whisky Room was exceptional!!!
'For me', not the depth of previous sherried Clydebuilts, very drinkable though. Touch of water smooths it out.

I don't know how to feel about that news. I've not yet opened this bottle, but I had definitely finished the last bottle. Do I keep this pristine bottle for the future? For a calamity (no) or for a celebration (maybe!). Since I got into drinking limited runs of very nice whiskies only a few have stood out as exceptional; this is (or was) one of the best. I think I'll need to see what subsequent batches of Lochlea are like. And then, if the company is worthy, we can open up the Batch 2 and do a comparison.
