Lochlea is an independent family-owned farm/distillery in the heart of Ayrshire, Scotland. Lochlea launched their inaugural dram in 2022. The Lochlea team distil and mature their whisky at the farm from barley grown there.
Lochlea's seasonal small batch releases showcase the signature Lochlea style in four different ways. As a working farm, each release reflects what is happening at that time of year.
Fallow Edition (3rd Crop) is the third in the final seasonal release from Lochlea distillery and reflects the season of autumn on the farm, when the fields are left fallow to rest after a busy harvest.
Nose: Baked apple notes.
Palate: Sweet medjool dates, manuka honey and nutty fresh malted bread.
Finish: Long finish, showing rich sandalwood oils and mixed peppercorns.
