Isle of Cumbrae Distillers is based in the historic town of Millport. Their gins portray landmarks and stories from the island and have a significant connection to the island and its community.

The distillery was first established in 2019 by five ladies who came out of retirement to create something new and exciting on the island. After five years they passed the torch to Caroline and Struan Fraser who were both born and raised in Ayrshire and have years experience in the whisky industry.

This affordable gift pack contains 3 x 5cl bottles of Nostalgin, Croc Rock and Waverley Gin.

NOSTALGIN

Alcohol: 43% ABV

Nostalgin celebrates the strong emotional connection and nostalgia Millport holds in so many people’s hearts. it pairs the the distinctive taste of lavender with fresh island bramble, added a hint of sweet orange and topped it off with a bit of Scottish island magic; a dash of noble Scottish thistle for health and improved energy and a smidgen of heather, considered to bring good luck and protection.

CROC ROCK

Alcohol: 43% ABV

Croc Rock Gin celebrates Millport's iconic Crocodile Rock, one of the most recognised symbols of the island which has delighted visitors of all ages for over 100 years. Feature Botanicals: Cacao Nib, Orange and Ginger.

The nose has the fresh aromas of pine-forward juniper and orange, subtle spicey tones that fill out the heavier citrus notes. The first sip brings forward the sweetness of the stem ginger and orange on the tip of the tongue. As you start to sense a warmth of heat from the ginger, you simultaneously taste a note of dark chocolate, perfectly balanced with the depth of the cacao creating a nuanced, rich flavour in the finish, the subtle cacao flavours continuing to linger long after your put down the glass.

This provocative gin, integrating fresh orange and the sweetness of the stem ginger with the rich round flavours of chocolate makes it versatile enough to serve neat, over ice or in a classic G&T, with a splash of refreshingly light Fever-Tree and a citrus or ginger garnish.

WAVERLEY GIN

Alcohol: 41% ABV

Waverley Gin is produced by Isle of Cumbrae Distillers in association with Waverley Excursions. A portion of the sale goes to the Waverley Charity.

Waverley Gin is handcrafted in Millport, utilising an award winning recipe for a contemporary style London dry gin.

Feature Botanicals: Pineapple, Mango and Elderberry

The nose has the fresh fruity aromas of pine-forward juniper, pineapple and mango. The first sip brings forward the mild sweetness of the pineapple and mango, then deepens with the spiced flavours of Elderberry and pink peppercorn. The flavours are finally pulled together and rounded off with orange. 

Perfect serve: Waverley Gin is best served with a light tonic and a slice of pineapple or orange.
