This incredible bottler, Glaschu Spirits Co. is owned by Paul Jamieson and Julian Mithoff and based in Glasgow, Scotland (Glaschu is Gaelic for Glasgow). The Glaschu guys have backgrounds in aircraft engineering so decided to use that theme for the Glaschu labels - the subject and colour changes with each release but is always in the same art deco style design.

Established in 2014, the Ardnamurchan Distillery is set on the beautiful, rugged west Highland Peninsula from which it takes its name. The Ardnamurchan dram reflects the distillery’s location, renowned for its wild landscapes and untamed character. Ardnamurchan embrace heritage, innovation and sustainable practices, from traditional double distillation to blockchain technology. All the power and heat requirements for the distillery come from local renewables and the by-products are recycled on the peninsula. 

Due to the young age of the distillery, single cask independent bottlings of this spirit are rare. This dram is particularly hard to find - it's a peated expression, fully matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead.

This dram's artwork depicts John Cobb's Crusader - a jet powered racing boat, built in 1949, speeding towards the Ardnamurchan distillery.

Nose: Roasted coffeee beans, tart cherry juice, earthy, leather pub jacket.
Palate: Spice fruitcake, molasses, dark chocolate, medjool dates, blood orange.
Finish: Long, warming, assertive, smoky spiced embers.
