The original Ardgowan Distillery was founded in 1896, the current distillery filled its first cask in June this year following eight years of development, planning and construction. Built on the historic Ardgowan Estate, it is the first new distillery to open in Inverclyde for over a century.
Matured entirely in sherry wood with a combination of butts, PX and Oloroso hogsheads married by Distiller Laura Davies.
Colour: Deep Amber
Nose: Raisins, figs and polished oak.
Palate: Dark fruits and spices.
Finish: Long and rounded with lingering depth.
