Bottled by the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, the casks that are bottled – often whiskies from lesser-known distilleries that are of excellent quality, but have never been widely or consistently available – hence the name ‘Infrequent Flyers’.
Nose: Somewhat funky. Initially earthy, almost savoury aromas, with balsamic notes, and , then the fruit comes: raisins, apricots and baked apples.
Taste: Quite evidently from a PX cask… Super sweet, with Demerara sugar, crème brûlée, molten dark brown toffee and rich honeycomb. This is complemented with semi:sweet dark chocolate and marinated sultanas. Pretty spicy to boot, with cinnamon and nutmeg.
