Over the past few years, Lochlea's seasonal small batch releases have showcased the signature Lochlea style in four different ways. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in with exactly what is happening at that time of year.
Sowing Edition (Third Crop) is the first in a new and final set of four limited
editions, marking the end of Lochlea's Seasonal releases. Matured in 100% fresh
1st-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, these casks are 9 months older than those used
in Sowing Edition (Second Crop), and the difference is incredible!
This whisky really highlights the floral aromatics associated with distilling
in the colder months.
Nose: Almonds, rose petals
Palate: White pepper, a vibrant burst of apple blossom
Finish: Warm straw, fresh grass
