Lochlea is an independent family-owned farm/distillery in the heart of Ayrshire, Scotland. Lochlea launched their inaugural dram in 2022. The Lochlea team distil and mature their whisky at the farm from barley grown there.
Our Barley is Lochlea's core single malt. Lochlea's Master Blender, John Campbell has carefully developed this recipe with a combination of Bourbon, Sherry and STR Casks.
Nose: pear syrup, fruit bon bons, warm cut grass, marmalade.
Palate: golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts, cream soda.
Finish: long finish with a lasting orange beeswax note.
