The Glasgow Distillery’s production started in 2015 in the south-west of the city. Their first single malt ‘Glasgow 1770 Original’ launched in 2018 and in 2020 the distillery was named Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Whisky Awards.

Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is a new addition to the Glasgow 1770 Single Malt range. This 8 year old dram is a marriage of equal parts of their unpeated and peated single malts made from British peated malted barley with Scottish water from Loch Katrine. Batch 1 combines 6 casks, each one fully matured in first-fill Bourbon casks.

Nose: Floral honey and vanilla with a waft of sweet smoke. Floral undertones throughout with notes of toffee apples and buttery citrus fruit.

Palate: Velvety with notes of rich vanilla and double cream leading to tropical pineapple, sweet clementine orange and malty shortbread.

Finish: Long-lasting vanilla-forward finish with ongoing notes of sweet smoke and a rich oak spice.
