Edradour is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, and its 10-year-old expression sits at the core of its range. This single malt from the Scottish east Highlands is rich and almost rum-like in character.
Still crafted by hand, the 10-year-old Edradour is among the few remaining single malts from a farm distillery still in production. The production methods have changed little over the past 150 years and yield only limited quantities — what Edradour makes in a year, larger distilleries produce in just a week. The Edradour output is mainly unpeated but for two days a week, a heavily peated version is produced called Ballechin, named after a nearby former distillery.
Nose: Distinctive honey flavour with hints of sherry and vanilla.
Palate: A beautiful mix of rum and raisin and toasted nuts.
Finish: A seductively long spicy finish.
