The Balvenie 12 Doublewood has a distinctive two-cask maturation process, which creates a rich and smooth dram, perfect for new drammers and seasoned whisky drinkers.
This dram spends most of its maturation in American Bourbon oak barrels which impart vanilla, sweetness and gentle spice. For around the last 9 months, the whisky is finished in Oloroso sherry casks (European oak) which adds rich notes of dried fruits and warming spice.
Nose: Sweet fruit and Oloroso Sherry with honey and vanilla.
Palate: Smooth, mellow with beautifully combined flavours.
Finish: Long and warm.
