This is the eighth edition of unpeated, locally grown single malt from Bruichladdich - the crop was raised across seven Islay farms.
Nose: Citrus and honey notes, then stoned fruit, dried apricot, and ripe peaches. Marzipan, yellow flowers, vanilla pods, followed by spice, cereal, marine breeze, vanilla, caramel and wood spices with hints of cinnamon and ginger cake and syrup.
Palate: Sweet ripe stoned fruit flavours with vanilla, caramel and brown sugar. Adding water releases floral notes of hawthorn and heather.
Finish: Marine tang, sweet citrus and honeyed oaked notes with a long and gentle finish.
