This is the inaugural release by new, Glasgow-based independent bottler, The Spirit of Glaschu. - scots Gaelic for Glasgow

It's a 7 year old, single cask Blair Athol that's been matured for 6 and a bit years in an ex-bourbon barrel and then finished for the remaining months in a Jamaican rum barrel.

Bottled at 53% ABV, natural colour, non-chill filtered and carefully labelled by hand, it's light, tropical and tangfastically tasty.

Nose - Sweet malted barely, sugar cane rum (surprise surprise) and buttered popcorn followed by tart apple juice and light vanilla

Palate - It's a tropical fruit basket of pineapple, tango apple blast and golden syrup. The creamy surgary sweetness continues like cream soda and raw marshmallows. Then there's a dryness to it, like a straw hat (if that's even a flavour)

Finish - A slight floral and zesty finish, wildflower and orange peels
