Torabhaig embraces its local community and culture: employing local people to be distillers; championing local products in their gift shop; sponsoring the local shinty team; partnering with the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTaigh is Torabhaig's first core expression and it reflects their distillery style, 'smoke with taste'. Taigh means ‘hill of peat’ in Gaelic which reflects the beautiful wild, dramatic Island of Skye.
